WHAT I BOUGHT: PAROS

I made a special trip to find the elegant studio Todd Marshard built in the picturesque town of Lefkes. I almost gave up the hunt as my GPS via foot couldn’t keep up with all the twists and turns it took to find the elegant studio Marshard built from scratch from the ruins of an old building. When I entered to find this former fashion photographer crafting over one of his newly hatched creations, I was so happy I didn’t. Here's the view from the street just before I entered:

Meeting charismatic and thoughtful Marshard is like running into an old friend: the feeling that there isn’t enough time to say all you want to say.

Shelves of his pottery, in creamy whites, blacks and browns, in undulating shapes as serene as looking at the ocean itself.

As with so much in Paros, the journey was as rewarding as the destination.

It was almost impossible to choose, but our picks were deftly packed and shipped to us and arrived just two weeks later.
